Guys and Dolls

This classic stage musical by Frank Loesser returns (via Chichester Theatre and the Savoy in London) giving the opportunity to see what must be one of the greatest of the golden age of musicals.

There are some wonderful characters, including Miss Adelaide herself played to the hilt by Sophie Thompson, and the super-talented David Haig plays Nathan - the first time he and Sophie have acted together since Four Weddings and A Funeral. There are many memorable numbers including Luck be a Lady and Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat, the choreography by Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta is dazzling and the reviews are excellent - a really feel-good show.

Guys and Dolls

The story centres on the exploits of prohibition-era con-man Nathan Detroit who has many problems including his 14 year engagement to Miss Adelaide which has yet to materialise into a marriage.
