Colston Hall is delighted to welcome Australian born classical guitarist Craig Ogden who joins the BSO for an electrifying programme featuring the Concierto de Aranjuez by Spanish composer Rodrigo. Suffused witha Mediterranean spirit, the piece evokes Spain's sunny atmosphere and folk traditions.

Opening the concert is the fantasy overture Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture which is one of the most celebrated works of the mighty Tchaikovsky. A helter skelter of emotions, it takes us on a journey through tension, anticipation, feverish violence and joy.

The concert ends with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.5, an epic expression of musical energy and anxiety.
